Switching subscription
When you apply for a student travel product, you choose either a weekday subscription or a weekend subscription. If you wish to switch subscriptions later on, you can arrange this in Mijn DUO.
Twice a year, not during the summer
You cannot switch your subscription between 1 May and 25 August. You can switch your subscription up to twice a year. But you cannot pick up a subscription twice within 2 months within the same calender year. The pickup date is the start date of the switch.
Picking up your subscription
- After your request has been processed, your new subscription will be ready within 5 working days.

- You can use your new subscription right after you have collected it.
Lost ov-chipkaart
Even if you have lost your personal ov-chipkaart, you can switch subscriptions. First you need to block your old card and apply for a replacement card. Go to ov-chipkaart.nl Link opent externe pagina to arrange this. After this, you can change your subscription in Mijn DUO.
