Apply for a replacement card

Have you lost your OV-chipkaart? Contact the OV-chipkaart Customer Service Department as soon as possible. Your old card will be blocked immediately and a replacement card will be issued as soon as possible.

What do you have to do?

  • Call the OV-chipkaart Customer Services Department if you have lost your OV-chipkaart. The phone number is +31 900 09 80.

Card defective

Is your OV-chipkaart defective? First check whether you have negative credit on your card. If so, you will be unable to check in and your card will seem to be defective.
If this situation does not apply to your card, go to a public transport company service desk with your card. You can also call the OV-chipkaart Customer Service Department: +31 900 09 80.

Temporary student travel product

If you want to continue to travel with your student travel product while waiting for your replacement card, you can apply for a temporary student travel product.

Cancelling your student travel product

If you have lost your OV-chipkaart or it is defective, or you are no longer entitled to student finance, you must cancel your student travel product via Aanvraag stopzetten studentenreisproduct.
